creating fantasiz.ing

admittedly, i've had a lot of trouble of getting this website up and actually running/having content >_> ... the first iteration of this site came about october 2024, under the domain kittyrave.club! that went through quite a few layouts, with few actual pages, until around new years(?) where i felt disconnected with it on a personal level and got lynx.fail... which had the same fate, except i managed to get the about and links page up LOL. it's late march, and now i'm on my third domain: fantasiz.ing! i also decided to move it to a new nekoweb account as it was bothering me that i had 11k?!! views with barely any content. as of now it has 200 views without me even putting out the actual website yet .. ahh!!!

i still have kittyrave.club, but i'll probably let lynx.fail expire. i have plans to turn kittyrave.club into a site with information about raves, kandi, plur etc.! i think i like fantasiz.ing and it's theme as my 'brand' for art/personal stuff. pastels are not usually what i go for, but it works!

with fantasiz.ing i wanted to mess around with a ssg, specifically 11ty. it took me a few tries but i'm happy with what i've accomplished :D now i can have an easy to update blog (and the posts on the blog page are automated!!)! the only thing is that my site is 69.4mb while writing this. i wanted my site to be sort of small, but that's just something i'll have to give up :P it'd probably end up big anyways with the amount of styling i do >_< i still need to get git up and running as well, so i don't have to import my site to nekoweb every time. (3/27/25) ok so i never figured out how to actually deploy my site correctly T_T so i've changed the layout and no longer use an ssg LOL. whoops...site down to 600kb on disc though!

the first iteration of fantasiz.ing had a dark mode. i may implement that on this version eventually if i get bored. my css is a bit of a mess but i have all the colors as variables so that's one thing i don't have to worry about.

so yeah, i'm relieved to finally have a site with some content (there's placeholders, but at least they're pages)! going to make sure i DON'T decide to redo it all immediately and focus on making the pages filled out. excited for the future of this website!
